Scotty
has achieved his ambition of reaching the milestone of
1,000 jumps after a gap of 25 years.
He
was prevented from jumping way back in 1982 because of
an injury.
Following
his return to Nethers to see his daughter do a tandem
jump he decided to see if he would be allowed to return
to Skydiving.
After
deliberation by the BPA and a thorough medical, he was
given the go ahead. |

| On
May 23rd he once again visited Nethers, but this time it
was to get up in the sky, rather than watch others enjoy
themselves. There was obviously some
retraining that had to take place - he had never even
used one of the modern canopies! - but finally he was
skydiving, something he thought he would never
experience again.
He
did his 999th on 23rd, and then returned the following
morning for his 1,000th jump. Now his only
ambition is to have the time to get back to Nethers
again and continue with the hobby that he started way
back in his teens.
